Commonly associated with 5S activities, visual devices are used to identify aisles, work areas, and storage locations for equipment, tools, parts and product.
The goal is to create a clearly identified place for everything (including both fixed and moveable equipment), and for everything to be returned to its place when not in use.
To facilitate items finding their way back home, it is important to not just create borders, but also to label both the tool and its storage space with descriptive text or graphics.
